Default How To: Profile Lenses using the Lens Hand Controller (L-THC)

Lens profiling will correct slight offset between your 2 lenses. Profiling can be used to perfectly match FOCUS, IRIS, and ZOOM. When using the L-THC to profile lenses, you can set up to 2 profile points for each axis (focus, iris, zoom). If using the RIG MANAGER APP, you can set up to 20 profile points. This guide is for those using only the L-THC to profile their lenses.

What you will need:
- L-THC
- 6-Axis Setup

Process:
ENTERING LENS PROFILE SETUP MODE-
- On the L-THC, press and hold the "PROFILE" button for 2 seconds

- The "PROFILE" LED will begin to blink;

- Release the "PROFILE" button

- You are now in LENS PROFILE SETUP mode

Setting Profile Points:

Correcting Offset in Focus:
Adjust the lenses to match by locking the left lens and moving the right lens to match.

- Choose a starting point at either near focus or infinity (this point will be where your left lens will lock)
- To lock the LEFT LENS, PRESS and HOLD the "FOCUS" button. Then move the FOCUS WHEEL to adjust the RIGHT LENS to match.
- Release the "FOCUS" button once your lenses match.

(This is your first of two profile points available. Repeat this process to set your second point)

Correcting Offset in Iris:
Adjust the lenses to match by locking the left lens and moving the right lens to match.

- Choose a starting point at either ends of STOPS (this point will be where your left lens will lock)
- To lock the LEFT LENS, PRESS and HOLD the "IRIS" button. Then move the IRIS SLIDER to adjust the RIGHT LENS to match.
- Release the "IRIS" button once your lenses match.

(This is your first of two profile points available. Repeat this process to set your second point)

Correcting Offset in Zoom:
Adjust the lenses to match by locking the left lens and moving the right lens to match.

- Choose a starting point at near minimum or maximum zoom. (this point will be where your left lens will lock)
- To lock the LEFT LENS, PRESS and HOLD the "BATTERY" button. Then move the ZOOM WHEEL to adjust the RIGHT LENS to match.
- Release the "BATTERY" button once your lenses match.

(This is your first of two profile points available. Repeat this process to set your second point)

ACTIVATING PROFILE MODE:
- When your profiling process is complete, press the "PROFILE" button once. The LED will go from blinking to solid green. When this LED is solid green, PROFILING MODE is active.
